Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

The short version: Critical Skip has no accounts, sets no tracking cookies, and does not collect, sell, or share personal data. What follows is the detail.

Who we are

Critical Skip is an independent fan project — a free Chrome extension and this companion website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Critical Role LLC.

The website (criticalskip.com)

This site is a static archive of essays and summaries. It has no login, no comment system, and sets no advertising or analytics tracking cookies. We do not collect personal information from visitors. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process standard server request logs (such as IP address) for security and delivery, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

The Chrome extension

Episode data. To show wiki reminders, arc callbacks, and combat tracking, the extension requests episode-data files from criticalskip.com for the episode you are viewing. These requests identify the episode; they do not include your identity, and we do not build a profile of what you watch.

Supporter unlock codes. If you enter a Ko-fi code to unlock a supporter tier, the extension sends only that code to criticalskip.com to check whether it is valid. Nothing else about you is sent for this check.

What we do NOT collect. No account, no watch history, no browsing history, no personal identifiers. The extension does not sell or share data with third parties, and does not use your data for advertising.

Payments & support

Supporter payments are handled entirely by Ko-fi under Ko-fi's privacy policy. We never receive or store your card or payment details.

Third parties

We rely on Cloudflare (website & extension-data hosting) and Ko-fi (voluntary support and unlock codes). Each processes data under its own policy.

Changes & contact

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Questions? Reach out via our Ko-fi page.
