Specials E2 in brief
The direct second half of the Search for Grog: Vox Machina stands atop Howler’s Crag in Pandemonium, Grog’s soul restored but Lieve’tel dead and the party stranded — their planar-travel components and Grog’s entire Bag of Holding stolen by Bob, the amnesiac githzerai beggar. Sheltering in Scanlan’s mansion, they mount a chaotic resurrection (Grog literally threatens Lieve’tel’s spirit back into her body) and resolve the disaster into a new quest: hunt Bob down, recover everything, and get home.
The trek across lightless Pandemonium — Percy carrying the shrunken party down the tower in his coat, an iron tree of soul-like fruit, a sandstone titan stalking them — leads to Bob’s citadel, where Percy talks the lost thief into returning their things in exchange for a way home. Then the titan arrives. The long fight is a desperate grab-and-go, not a victory: the elemental becomes an unstoppable cyclone, nearly kills Keyleth, and the party only survives long enough to recover the tuning fork because Pike spends Divine Intervention and Sarenrae herself appears to bind the titan in chains of holy fire. They Plane Shift home — Bob included — an instant before the god’s hold breaks.
Back in Whitestone, the threads tie off. Bertrand quits the heroic life and walks off into retirement (a smitten Lieve’tel goes after him). Pike’s Greater Restoration clears Bob’s clouded mind, revealing him as Shanak, an Anarch of Limbo lost on a mission — who never needed their device at all and gifts the party sculpted statues of themselves before sending himself home. Grog gets a safe, homemade Deck of Many Things. Lieve’tel confirms with the Raven Queen that Vox Machina is safe “for now.” Both one-shots end: Grog and Bob, found.
